The DP4801 Ex ATEX Certfied handheld radio is a digital DMR radio with a colour LCD display and a host of features. It has a day/night mode to make reading messages and information easier plus intelligent audio and customisable voice annoucements.
This particular model is VHF but we also hire and sell UHF models too. The radios feature 1000 channel capacity, 5 programmable buttons to make man down activation for example, much easier when wearing PPE like large gloves.
This radio is also suitable for SOLAS with use amongst firefighters onboard shipping vessels.
The DP4801ex comes with a 2075mAh Li-Ion battery, this will let the radio operate for up to 19 hours whilst in digital mode and 16 hours whilst operating in analogue. All accessories must be ATEX certified to ensure safe use of the radio when operating in potentially explosive environments.
